Facade

Facade Design has a great impact on the overall image of the building when seen from outside.

Façade design defines the style status of the building.

There are two major aspects:

1. Styles: There are several facade style like Classic (classical specific to geography), modern, postmodern, fusion, bohemian and many more. We work with an open mind to get the right combination of construction technology, building material and design aesthetics for facade that gives the building a character of its own.

2. Technical details:

  • Ventilated Facades
  • Organic Facades
  • Green Facades
  • Steel facade
  • Panel frame facade
  • Clay facade
  • Steel and glass facade
  • Double-skin facade
  • Solar shading facade
  • Glazing facade
  • Insulated wall façade
  • And many more

Some case studies of our Façade design assignments:

Case Study 1

Labim Mall Facade

The concept for the Labim mall was “Walk the street”. So, we designed a façade that gives a feel as if there were different shops and spaces with their own different styles. However, the modern form combines them onto a single modern form. We have used modern materials like ACP, glass, vitrified tiles, metal element along with traditional materials like Nepali brickwork with “surkhee”, Teak wood hand rails, de-stressed pine wood. The roof is inspired by the Himalayas with snow. The roof has three mounds representing three mountains. The random pattern of glass and white panels depict the snow over these mountains.

Case Study 2

Façade for Mr. Chandan residence

The brief was to design a modern minimalistic building with bigger windows for maximum view of Himalayas. This was designed as a completely modern façade with Metal, wood, stone and large glazed surfaces.
